I hope you don't mind a request for volunteer help. I'm with The Trolley Museum of New York that has an aging fleet of trucks used to maintain a three mile railroad line. The trucks we have are as follows (I don't know the exact years of mfg., but all date from mid-1960 to mid-1970):

IH 1200C 6cyl, 4x4, hy-rail pick-up;
IH Loadstar 1600, hy-rail, scissor lift platform;
Dodge 600, cherry picker;
Dodge 600, "line truck" (boom and auger);
IH Scout, V8, hy-rail (bad wheels, bad clutch).

All are running, except the Scout, but they all need varying degrees of TLC (hydraulics, brakes, tune-ups, body rust, etc). We had two guys maintaining the fleet, but they are too old now to do the maintenance needed. Anyone in the Hudson Valley or driving distance to Kingston NY hankerin' to be a volunteer truck mechanic is welcome to help. To learn more about us, see www.tmny.org, and specifically about volunteering, www.tmny.org/tmnyyou.html.

If the link works, there is a picture attached of the IH 1600 pulling flats of railroad ties.
