crossmember

I am stripping anolder wrecked model for the frame which is in good condition, mine is rusted through on the left rear. It was my Daddy's truck and I want to get it going, on 40k miles. I want to put the entire crossmember and arms, drums etc on the new frame. Can't I just grind off the rivets holding it on and transfer the whole thing to the new frame? It is big rivets isn't it?
