6.9 to 400 or 460 fordPosted by david on January 24, 2004 at 21:34:49 from (209.223.14.39):
I have a 86 ford f-350 with a very tired 6.9 diesel. Its a service truck and everytime I get off the road in the wet season, I sink. Not so much the rear, but the front end heads for the bottom PDQ. Dont go very far or very fast so a new truck is out of the question. How much trouble is it to change the diesel to a gas burner? I have the 4 speed tranny and 4.10 gears, and it weights 12,000# so I really dont want to go much smaller engine wise.Any help or suggestions are greatly appreicated. Thanks, David
