You have really got a truck to be proud of there ! I saw quite a few of those go at auction at forest service auctions for little or nothing before I began to appreciate what a cool machine they were. By then, you never saw one go at an auction anymore. At least not for $200 like they used to.
I remember seeing a 60 or 61 W300 that had an industrial Hemi in it also. It was owned by the forest service also. The mechanics at the shop where it was had rigged up a old slant 6 engine in the bed with a jack-shaft running a series of 6 Chrysler alternators. They all feed a control panel to a welder. The alternators could be brought on one at a time till all 6 were on for a total of up to 300 amps DC welding power.
I still kick myself for not buying that rig at the auction that day. I didn't need it at the time as much as I needed the $400 it sold for. This was about 15 years ago. Seems like you always remember the ones that got away.
You definately got a keeper with yours though.
