Tranny won't come out!

I have a 65 C10 Stepside with a 283 and a 3 on the tree setup. I'm trying to pull the tranny to replace, but it won't come out. I have removed all bolts I can find from the block( 6 of them). The shifting and clutch linkage has been removed too. I'm 99% sure the thing is in neutral. It starts to separate at the bottom, but at the top behind the distributor is still sealed tight. I've tried to jack it up and let off, shaking, banging it, and ratchet strapping it from the frame in the back. What could be the hang up?

Sorry for long post, but I just wanted to give the whole situation.
