I would say good luck, if its a five speed, that probabley why the top cover is gone, they are very hard to come by, 4 speeds of that age maybe easier to get, i have a 4 speed in a 68 T-60, and would love to go with a 5, you can put the extra gear in the trans but the top case is different, between the 4 and 5 speeds, i could get you the casting numbers off my truck, but i would have to get it out of the shed, and i dont see that happening anytime soon, with the weather that i got now.

you might try geiger truck parts in watseka illinois, talk to Jr. and he might be able to fix you up.
I had my trans rebuilt there last fall and he told me next time the truck would just go to the junk yard or a collecter because he couldnt get very many new parts anymore, had to use a couple of used gears in it
