63 Chevy Truck engine size

My question is what engine sizes will bolt up to a 63' C10 Chevy Truck fleetside? And will those engines bolt up to a automatic 3 on the tree transmission? The engine that is in it now is a 283. Also if I go to a larger engine and stock the engine to any degree should I consider a different transmission? Or should I just beef up the transmission to support the engine. Also if I go to a larger engine will I need to make frame modifications to accomidate the weight/torque? Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for you time!
