WHat year 460 ? as the late 60's and earily 70's had vary high comp. and the starter that was used was a faster and stronger one it turned at over 11000 rpm and then they droped the comp on them and also droped the starter speed to 10500 then down they went again and so did the starter to 10000rpm , all the two bolt starters look the same and all the three bolt look the same BUT THEY ARE NOT THE SAME . one that came out of a 351 M only runs at 9500 and has a lot less toqure, SO Make sure that ya get one out of and old 69 or 70 T/Bird or Torino with a S/Cobra Jet If that don't spin it then ya got something else wrong.
