That would have been about the time the 292 came out, although I have never seen one in a half ton. I saw them in 3/4 tons of a year or so later. They were some kind of powerful with a LONG stroke. They also liked gas. Round trackers used them with a 194 cubic inch head in the six cyl class. I've got a cpouple of them in the back of the shop simply because they are getting so rare.
