There are basically 2 senders shown for use with gauge systems of that time period. One thing to note is that the pipe thread sizes of the senders differ, and kinda serves as a way to indentify them. Standard Ignition # TS-71 ... 1/2" male pipe thread. Standard Ignition # TS-76 ... 3/8" male pipe thread. You will notice the 100 degree F. resistances are the same, and the 1425 OHMS resistance on the one is reached at 220 degrees F., and on the other, it is reached at 250 degrees F.. That probably accounts for the discrepancy in your gauge reading. Do you know the pipe thread size of the sender you have, and what is the maximum temperature reading shown on your dash heat gauge?
