depends on where you are located , and whether you have a shop or not,, AAA as a money maker alone is not good, the rates paid to towingcomp is a joke, the way they expect you to make a dollar is to tow the broke down car to your shop and fix it,, If you are in a hi volume area get on the police and sherrif list, but sometimes politics fall into play, sometimes getting started in the business is slow,, and you get what everyone else does not want,, there will be ways to make money if you fall into the right niche or want to work hard, but it all considering how big of a mortgage on your truck to,, you can do ok with a wrecking yard or hauling junk cars for yourself too,yo can make a decent living picking up junk cars in your area if the price of steel is up,maybe sell a few parts,as a business until you get a following of callers is to diversify make it where you can, one word of caution tho picking up junk cars can be hard on your equipment sometimes especially a aluminum bed, so be careful you would be surprised what some people "expect" of you. I have pulled for a auction house, picking up wrecks from the shop and bringing them to the auction house,,if you can arrange the bed to be full both ways it is worth it, but again lots of politics,, dont give up, but dont jump into it either without checking local laws,, also here in NY it is a joke but you need a endorsement and special tags and insurance on your rig,, lots of money going out even before the first car is put on yor bed,, good luck, pat
