I prefered buy 3/4 ton vehicals new.
Standard off the assembly line models were the HD model you paid more for the extras on a 1/2 ton: radiator, suspension, brakes, etc. Vehical traveled further between brake jobs. Ordered higher dif gears for fuel economy. Have owned both. I was a longer drive taking the 3/4's to the junkyard.
