If I am not mistaken, federal law protects you in cases like this. Notice that not one of the 50 states (even Cali) has tried to make you put catilitic converters on older cars?
I'd imagine you will have a hard time insuring something like this onless it is a show car only. Either way, you need to have an agreed value type acount. Get your rig appraised by a couple good companies, expect to pay 100 bucks for each aprasial, but it'l be money well spent IMO.
