I posted about my old Dodge truck going dead..no ignition, lights, horn , interiors...everything dead...well I got it running without knowing why and it died again. I put a new relay switch in and it ran fine for about a week and then died at work one day at noon hour. The boss spent hours on it and had all the harness under the dash checked when he noticed that the wiring to the ampmeter caused the interior lights to flash and when he wiggled them the power seemed to surge off and on....the ignition switch wasn't getting fed, ergo the relay wasn't getting fed..same with the light switch it wasn't getting its relay fed to feed main relay...faulty ammeter was the culprit! now whoda thunk it!!! truck is now working fine , but I got to find a new ampmeter to fit in the dash , or by-pass the dash and put a new generic ampmeter under the dash. I asked the boss what I owed him and he said not to worry about it..about three hours on his back under the dash!! now that's a good boss..Mike in Exeter Ontario
PS Thanks to everyone who made suggestions to me
