Do you have the 4-place, molded connector on the regulator correctly? I have tracked down problems with these systems to the connector missing one or more of the flat terminals on the regulator. If you're OK with the grounding, and the connector is on properly, try FULL FIELDING the alternator. Remove the two wire connector from the alternator and attach a test lead to the "F" terminal on the alternator. Connect the other end of the test lead to the (+) post on the battery. Check the voltage at the battery (with the engine running), and it should be past 13 Volts and rising. This would prove that the alternator and the heavy wire from it to the battery are OK, and if so, you can concentrate on the regulator wiring. Tug on the wires that connect to the alternator to check for broken wires. These are prone to breakage where they flex from the engine rocking in it's mounts. Does your instrument panel have an idiot light, or an ammeter? If you need further info, email me, and I'll dig up a copy of the basic wiring and email it to you. Good Luck!
