F250 Vin Number

I purchased a 1979 Forf F-250 4x4 cheep. I got a title for it, but the VIN plate was loose in the glove compartment. I cannot tell where it is supposed to be mounted. The truck was repainted many times. Can someone tel me where the VIN plate goes? Thanks.
